Flamboyant is not a hotel — it is five family homes on the beachfront, converted into a boutique bed and breakfast with the kind of personal atmosphere that resorts cannot replicate. Privately owned and family-run, it sits directly on Diani Beach next door to Ali Barbour's Cave Restaurant, with around ten bedrooms spread across the properties. The Homes

Each of the five homes has its own character. Johari, for example, offers three oceanfront rooms with views across the tropical garden to the Indian Ocean. Rooms range from courtyard-view to pool-view to full ocean-facing, with sizes from 161 to 215 square feet. All are air-conditioned with free WiFi. The shared swimming pool — accessible from all homes — features a pool bar and water features, and the beach is steps away through the garden. The scale is deliberately small: with only ten bedrooms across the entire property, you are more likely to know the other guests by name than lose them in a crowd.

Practical Details

The location is one of the best on the coast — directly on the beach and immediately next to Ali Barbour's Cave Restaurant, so dinner is a two-minute walk.
